Since the emergence of Cloud Computing Proact has been working with a strategic approach, staying ahead of evolving modern day requirements, combining local projects with various managed cloud services. We call this approach the ‘hybrid business model'. This model gives organizations the choice of keeping control of their own IT infrastructure (locally), partially local, or contracting it out by making use of various cloud services.
Transition and migration
‘Make or buy' is a choice which organizations always have to consider to roll out new services. When it comes to the IT infrastructure, the choice is not always crystal clear. Transition and migration are key words in this discussion. The IT infrastructure can be adapted, step by step, until the right combination of internal IT infrastructure and internal or external cloud services has been reached. An interesting option, of course, is the transfer of internal infrastructure, processes and/or applications to the cloud (after all), in order to quickly react to changing demands and wishes. This is actualizing the concept of ‘Business Resilience', always being ready for sudden growth and scalability.

Managed Cloud Services
Managed Cloud Services are a proven alternative for organizations in order to bring parts of, or even the entire IT infrastructure to the cloud. Proact has been supplying managed cloud services for many years, and also provides solutions suitable for internal IT infrastructures. In addition, Proact offers services to support clients in their transition from or to internal and external cloud services in the areas of professional service for architecture, implementation and data migration. Furthermore, Proact offers maintenance and management solutions, varying from temporary support and technical management to full operational management.
Everything as a Service
Proact leverages the expertise acquired via our own cloud services for our customers. These cloud services are provided on the basis of service level agreements (SLAs).
Our portfolio consists of the following Managed Cloud Services:
- Remote Management (RM)
- Data Recovery as a Service (DRaaS)
- Business Continuity as a Service (BCaaS)
- Storage as a Service (STaaS)
- Infrastructure as a Service(IaaS)
Cloud-sourcing
Proact offers Cloud-sourcing within its hybrid business model. Cloud-sourcing is the ‘Transformation’ towards the vision of accessing remote services is done step-by-step, to the degree which is useful to the customer. There is a recognition that while a company may want to externalize portions of their environment, they may want to own and localize other components. This mix of ownership, management, location and liabilities is the new paradigm in terms of service delivery for IT services.
Budget neutral transformation
Proact’s ‘budget neutral transformation’ is the process of achieving the stated goals of efficiency and change for organizations, but making the changes part of the month-to-month, or year-to-year natural work flow. An example of this is only converting to a ‘Virtual Server’ as physical servers are expired, or as new server processes are brought online. This approach will minimize ‘big-bang’ cost scenarios, and yet keeps the goal in sight, which will eventually be achieved in the most cost neutral manner.
Hybrid cloud services
Proact also provides a hybrid cloud service. These services can be offered from Proact’s data centers, but also from data centers of our customers. This gives our customers maximum flexibility, and a choice from a wide range of services: cloud services, project integration with professional management or any combination organizations require and wish for.
